Outlook South West has an exciting opportunity to join the team, training to become a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.
The post holders will work within our IAPT service providing high volume, low intensity assessments, interventions and managing their caseload, whilst undertaking a programme of training at University. The training will equip the post holder to provide a range of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based approaches to enhance self-management for patients with mild to moderate common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression.
Provided by Exeter University, the PG Cert/Degree Level 6 Psychological Therapies Practice (Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) training commences on Wednesday 18th March 2020 with all teaching finishing on Friday 30th October 2020.
The programme is delivered over 45 days, of which, 25 days are delivered at the university (at Exeter) and 20 days are set as university structured and directed learning days that can be undertaken outside of the university. Dates for the 25 university delivered training dates are provided in the document below. Applicants are expected to be able to commit to all of the dates to ensure they are able to meet the minimum course attendance requirement specified and monitored as part of the programme accreditation process by the British Psychological Society.
The training salary is £20,056.35 rising to £22,096.53 on successful completion of the University course and a successful 3 month post qualification probationary period. Please ensure you are able to attend all of the teaching dates. All of the teaching will be at Exeter University.
