The Semeru volcano in Indonesia erupted, killing at least 13 people and dozens were injured.
On Saturday, the Semeru volcano, Java’s tallest mountain, erupted, spewing towers of ash and hot clouds soaring into the sky. After the eruption people in Indonesia’s East Java province panicked and fled for their lives.
A thunderstorm and rain accompanied the eruption, pushing lava and smoldering debris to the surface and forming thick mud that collapsed at least one bridge connecting the two main villages of Pronojiwo and Candipuro.
The video of Semeru volcano erupted is making rounds on social media.
