Head of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) announced on Thursday that the “national average” of coronavirus vaccination has climbed to 48 per cent.
The minister on Twitter informed the nation that 52 per cent of the “eligible population” in Punjab has had at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine. Punjab also became the first province to cross the milestone, he added.
“Khyber Pakhtunkhwa follows with 48 per cent, Sindh 40 per cent and Balochistan at 17 per cent. Federal territories, leading in vaccination with Islamabad 87 per cent, Azad Jammu and Kashmir 59 per cent and Gilgit Baltistan 54 per cent. The national average has reached 48 per cent,” tweeted Umar.
