Gmail Is Soon getting Voice And Video Calling
Gmail is the most popular email service in the world, and one of the most important features is about to be added.
According to the report, instead of restricting Gmail to e-mail messages, Google is turning it into a hub equipped with all kinds of features.
That’s why Google has decided to make the biggest update to Gmail or workspace ever.
The update will add direct calling (voice and video calling) to the Gmail mobile app.
Gmail will use Google Mate for this feature of direct calling and users will be able to contact their contacts one-on-one.
And yes, Google Meetup will gradually become part of this calling feature.
The workspace was made free by Google as part of Gmail to make it a hub for all kinds of activities.
Google has also promised Rooms chat channels called Spaces which will be equipped with text messages and other features.
That means users will be able to easily navigate between email, chats, spaces and mats, while admin and security tools will also be improved.
The new changes will be available to businesses from September 8, but will be available to all users in the coming weeks or months.
