University of Karachi UOK Ends 2 Year Degree Program
The University of Karachi UOK has decided to end the two-year degree program and start Associate Degree and 4-year Bachelors program.
According to details, the Academic Council of Karachi University has prepared an academic policy for the academic year 2021-22, under which it has been decided not to admit two-year bachelors and master’s programs in the academic year 2021-22.

According to the Karachi University Academic Council, instead of a two-year program, affiliate colleges will enroll in the Associate Degree Program this year.
The Karachi University Academic Council has said that students pursuing 4-year bachelor’s program will be able to get admission in M.Phil and MS. Colleges which have the capacity to start 4-year bachelor’s degree program will have to re-apply.
The Karachi University Academic Council also says that more than 150 degree colleges are currently affiliated with Karachi University.
According to Karachi University Academic Council, more than 20,000 students have been affected due to non-admission in affiliate degree colleges of Karachi University for the last one year, while 150 colleges have also faced financial difficulties due to non-admission in colleges.
The Karachi University Academic Council also says that the affiliation colleges of Karachi University have an annual enrollment of more than 20,000 students in BA, B.Sc and B.Com.
The Karachi University Academic Council further said that the number of BA, B.Com and MA students appearing for the annual two-year external examination from Karachi University is more than 25,000. Students will be allowed to complete a two-year program.
