It has been implemented in Gilgit, Azad Kashmir and Balochistan. The curriculum has not been implemented in Sindh yet. The Sindh government is requested to implement the national curriculum as well.

The Minister of Education said that this will be a curriculum that will be implemented uniformly in all schools and madrassas. The objectives of a uniform education system are not limited. The curriculum has been developed.

Shafqat Mehmood said that the model text book will be from 1st to 5th. Anyone who wants to implement it will be able to do so. According to the syllabus, private publishing of books will be allowed.

The syllabus will be implemented not only in government schools but in all schools. The same syllabus will be implemented from 1st to 5th class, from next year from 6th to 8th and next year from 9th to 12th uniform syllabus, we are bringing test system for 5th and 8th class to know who is following the syllabus.

If a school wants to teach an additional subject, there is no objection, but if the national curriculum is not taught in a school, disciplinary action will be taken against it.

The Federal Minister further said that the present education system is based on an injustice, 75% of the children studying in madrassas and government schools have difficulty in moving forward, the education system has also divided the society, in developed countries.

There is a national curriculum, but unfortunately we have not been able to create a national curriculum in 72 years. Injustice and division will not only end with the curriculum but it is a step.
