Delete These Apps Immediately: Your Facebook Account Will Be Hacked

If you want to protect your personal data from being leaked, then get alerted immediately. There may be many such apps in your phone, which have been attacked by malware. In such a situation, your privacy becomes at risk. Google has recently banned 9 such apps from its platform, which were secretly stealing users’ data. Facebook users’ data at risk
Recently, researchers have spotted a new Android Trojan Flytrap, through which the accounts of Facebook users from more than 140 countries are being hacked.

You only help in theft
According to the Mobile Threat Research team of Zimperium zLabs, since March 2021, malware has spread through malicious apps from Google Play Store, third party app stores and sideloaded apps. This malware works on a very simple trick. First, it makes the victim login to the malicious app through their Facebook credentials, then it steals the data of the users.

Avoid Downloading These Apps
The research also revealed that Flytrap uses different types of mobile apps such as Netflix Coupon Code, Google Adworld Coupon Code and Best Football Team Voting and Player.

Question and answer game
After downloading this app, it fools the users, and asks many questions. After answering all these, it directs the users to the Facebook login page, for which it asks to login with Facebook account to vote.

Where is the stolen data saved?
Let us tell you that the malware uses JavaScript injection, from which it takes access to the Facebook ID, location, email address and IP address of the users. The stolen information is then transferred to Flytrap’s command and control servers.

Google’s action
Ziperium has warned Google about three dangerous apps that were transferring flytrap malware via the Google Play Store. Google then researched and verified the malicious apps and removed them from the Google Play Store.

Google removed these apps from its platform
In its investigation, Google found the following apps to be stealing users’ data, after which they were banned from the Google Play Store while taking related action.
