The Los Angeles Rams unveiled a new set of logos and colors on Monday as part of a long-scheduled rebranding ahead of the move to SoFi Stadium this season.
The primary logo, which was initially leaked on Twitter two weeks ago, was widely criticized by NFL fans again on Monday. First of all, the logo could easily be confused with the Los Angeles Chargers. The colors are similar, and the horn design on the lettering could pass as a Chargers-related bolt. The Rams also scrapped the logo that their $5 billion stadium is going to be shaped like.
But that’s not all: The logo wasn’t even original. A few fans noticed that the new Rams logo looks awfully similar to the logo of Division II college Angelo State University. Like, too close.
