State health officials say two people in Maine have tested presumptively positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus, and a third case is under review based on initial tests.
The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention had announced early Friday that preliminary tests done by a MaineHealth lab on two people showing potential infections with COVID-19. The Maine CDC has determined that one of those two, a man in his 50s from Cumberland County, is a “presumptive positive,” and the agency is reviewing the results for a woman in her 20s.
