Some See Snow Fall Overnight; School Closings Continue

People across North Texas are starting their day facing bitterly cold temperatures and the potential for patchy ice on bridges and overpasses.

The frigid cold and wintry precipitation have some schools closed or on delayed start times Thursday. Check here for the full list.

Drivers in Navarro, Henderson, Van Zandt, Kaufman, Anderson and Freestone counties should use extra caution when heading out the door Thursday morning after an overnight period of snowfall, NBC 5 Meteorologist Grant Johnston said.

ROAD CONDITIONS in North Texas are mostly “good” for DFW, but some icy spots are possible. Bigger problems linger to the northwest from yesterday’s snow/sleet…also the overnight snow to the southeast. –> #NBCDFWWeather
