The Atlanta Falcons announced Monday that they won’t re-sign former first-round pick Vic Beasley this offseason. Beasley is set to become a free agent in March.
The Eagles fired defensive line coach Phillip Daniels in January after the unit struggled to create regular pressure this past season. The Eagles’ defense produced 43 sacks during the campaign, which tied for 13th in the league with the Tennessee Titans.
The Eagles want more production from the pass rush, which could lead to an offseason spending spree along the defensive line.
While defensive ends Brandon Graham and Derek Barnett and defensive tackles Fletcher Cox and Malik Jackson are under contract for next season, the team could look to upgrade the unit.
