Georgia junior Jake Fromm is giving up his final year of eligibility and declaring for the NFL draft, making the Bulldogs’ quarterback position a big uncertainty for 2020.
If Fromm returned, the Bulldogs would have been a legitimate contender for the College Football Playoff. They still might be given the talent on the roster, which should make them an attractive destination for a graduate transfer at the position.
Projected among the top 10 picks for the 2020 draft last April, Fromm’s stock dropped during his junior season with many having him outside the first round now.
He finished his college career 35-7 as a starter and helped lead Georgia to the national championship game in 2017 and three consecutive SEC East titles.
