3 Injured As Bride And Groom’s Families Throw Chairs At Telangana Wedding

SURYAPET, TELANGANA: Wedding festivities in Telangana’s Suryapet region turned appalling after a battle broke out between the lady of the hour and the husband to be’s relatives.

During the fight, three got minor wounds and were later taken to a neighborhood emergency clinic close by.

Shiva Ram Reddy, Circle Inspector, Kodad Rural Police Station told ANI via telephone, “In October, the wedding was fixed between Ajay from Kodad Mandal of Suryapet locale and Indraja from Prakasam area in Andhra Pradesh. The marriage occurred on October 29. Around the same time, during the festivals, a warmed contention occurred between the lady and husband to be’s relatives over taking out marriage parade in the town. The contention transformed into a battle and both the gatherings assaulted each other with seats.”

He proceeded, “Following getting the data we arrived at the spot and saw that three people got minor wounds from the two sides. They were moved to a neighborhood medical clinic for treatment and we requested that they stop a protest with the police. On Friday they went to the police headquarters and said the couple are having no issues and are living respectively and they said they would prefer not to enroll a grievance since they arranged the issue themselves.”
