How IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was cornered by the US

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, pioneer of the Islamic State (IS) gathering, has slaughtered himself during an attack by US commandos in north-west Syria, President Donald Trump has said.

Baghdadi came to conspicuousness in 2014, when he reported the formation of a “caliphate” in regions of Iraq and Syria.

His demise is a significant triumph for Mr Trump as he faces substantial analysis for his choice to haul US troops out of northern Syria.

BBC security reporter Frank Gardner portrays the activity to catch Baghdadi and investigations what it implies for IS.
