Apple CEO warns Trump about China tariffs, Samsung competition

President Donald Trump said on Sunday that he had spoken with Apple’s Chief Executive Tim Cook about the effect of US levies on Chinese imports just as rivalry from South Korean organization Samsung.

Trump said Cook “put forth a decent defense” that levies could hurt Apple, given that Samsung’s items would not be liable to those equivalent taxes. Taxes on an extra $300 billion worth of Chinese products, including shopper hardware, are planned to become effective in two phases on September 1 and December 15.
